  12. I have an ATT Paradyne KeepInTouch Card PC Card Data/FAX modem that came 
  13. to me in a used laptop I bought. I am unable to connect to it via any 
  14. comm programs, DOS or Windows.

  16. What are the mechanisms used to talk to these PCMCIA modems? What 
  17. Initialization is required to set-up and use these modems? How are they 
  18. seen by the system, a COM port?
  19.
